University of Alabama Rural Health Scholars Program
The University sponsors this program for 25 juniors. The ultimate goal is to make quality health care more available to the rural communities in the state. Requirements for applying: ACT of 21, a GPA of 3.0, two letters of recommendation and a statement of interest essay. Applications are available in the counselor's office and should be postmarked by March 15.

AL Farmers Co-op & Auburn Scholarship
For beginning freshmen who would like an opportunity to work in the co-op system after graduation.
Amount: full tuition and fees, with an approximate value of $20,000 per student over a four-year period.
Must maintain a 3.0 GPA on Auburn University's four point scale, to remain eligible.

B. Davis Scholarship
There is a scholarship offered through the Student Award Search Aid website. The deadline is May 22 and the award is $1,000. Check out the website at www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships.htm
Paul Mitchell The School Scholarship
Applicants must be accepted y the school. A sealed transcript with a minimum of 2.75 GPA required. The scholarship amount will be $2,000. An essay and two letters of recommendation are needed. Applications must be postmarked two weeks prior to the start date.
Aloysius (Al) Reisz Jr. Scholarship
This scholarship honors the memory of Al Reisz, an engineer with Marshall Space Flight. It is open to any graduating senior and the deadline is April 1, 2017. A minimum of 500 word essay explaining why space exploration is important is part of the application. College Counts Scholarship
Award amounts are $4,000 for four-year institutions and $2,000 for two-year institutions. The scholarship opens December 1 - March 1, 2017. Family Security Credit Union Scholarship
This scholarship is available to all high school seniors. Two $1,000.00 scholarships will be awarded in May. To apply visit www.myfscu.com for additional information. There is a 750-word essay required along with the application.
Alabama Home Builders Association Scholarship
This scholarship is available to any graduating senior planning on pursing a career in construction or a career related with construction such as electrical or electrical engineering, plumbing, heating and air or masonry. Degrees or certification can be from a technical school, community college or university. Applications are available in the counselor's office. The deadline is March 15.
Marshall County Home Builders Association Scholarship
Seniors must be enrolled in a construction-related curriculum at a junior college, technical school or university in Alabama. Applications are available in the counselor's office and are due by March 30.
Alabama Association of School Personnel Scholarship
Scholarships will be given to high school graduates who desire to pursue of degree in business or a degree in K-12 education. Along with the application students need to include a recent photo, a personal letter stating your financial need, a transcript and one letter form three references. Deadline to submit the application is March 1.
The Foundation For Marshall Medical Centers
Applicants must be a graduating senior, have at least an 80 average in core subjects, be in good standing, provide an official transcript and be planning on pursuing a career in health care. Complete packets must be received by Friday, March 17. Applications packets are available in the counselor's office.
Electric Cooperative Scholarship
Seniors who are dependents of a member of a participating Alabama electric cooperative. Applications are available in the counselor's office. Packets must be received by February 24.
Alabama Center for Architecture Scholarship
Scholarships are eligible to high school seniors entering an accredited architecture program. Completed applications must be postmarked no later than April 6. Applications can be picked up in the counselor's office.
New Hope Telephone Cooperative Scholarship
Seniors having an overall GPA of at least 3.0 may apply for this scholarship. Applications are available in the counselor's office. Along with the application, students must include an essay, two letters of recommendation and attach a resume. Applications must be received by April 7.
Marshall County Manufactures Association
John Julius Szucs Memorial Technical Scholarship
Applicants must show proof of enrollment in a technical curriculum and/or a skills training program that could qualify them to be employed in a manufacturing and/or and industrial career support career in Marshall County. Applications are available i the counselor's office and must be received no later than March 31.
Marshall County Bar Association Scholarship
Two scholarships will be awarded to seniors interested in entering the legal field. A 150-word essay, and official transcript and a resume are required. The deadline to enter is April 14. See Mrs. Culbertson for more details.
