A Note about Graphing Calculators:
While not required for this course, a graphing calculator is STRONGLY recommended, and can be used for multiple classes. Graphing Calculators may be used for Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, Physics, & at the Algebra 1 level course and higher in Mathematics, as well as on the AP exams & ACT college entrance exam.
If you plan to purchase a graphing calculator, the Texas Instruments TI-84 or TI-84 PLUS are recommended; both of these have the same functionality with memory/speed as their only difference. Although cheaper brands are available, the TI is recommended for its functionality. The TI calculator may be purchased at Wal-Mart, Staples, Target, and even Unclaimed Baggage. I have several TI-84 PLUS graphing calculators students may borrow daily on a first come-first served basis, but it is beneficial for a student to have their own if possible.
